Material science cannot prove human brain is conscious. Neuroscience evidence is overwhelming which lends support from some of top Neurosurgeons that consciousness is immaterial and that consciousness is not in the brain. One such experiment was conducted by Libet in patient’s and he could not answer why a sensory impulse from fingers travels instantaneously to cortex (during his open brain surgery under local anaesthetics) and the same site when stimulated in same patient’s brain does not give an instantaneous response to the finger.
